Mostly Bitcoin Only. My stuff is TLDR on purpose so you can pick/choose what you want. Bitcoin Store of Value first but then MoE, least friction. Open Source is King. Filters are not Censorship. Bitcoin is Time (Gigi). Timechain. Ocean. Bitcoin Knots. I am a 35 year BI Developer using a competing product of Microstrategy but now am a MSTR /Saylor supporter. Non-Partisan. npub1mp77smkmq77zwp3d8ke2let567cype0m3lhwx7v97gu2fans40qsn7vzdd
Recently Saylor brilliantly explained how MSTR is doing exactly this. By buying the lows and the highs. Each green dot represents a Bitcoin buy. View quoted note → image
Does Luke Dash Jr. live in Springfield? Maybe this is a simple misunderstanding, buy Bitcoin, mine via Ocean.
If Bitcoin could talk, Bitcoin weighs in on the debate last night. "Ladies and Gentlemen around the world, the US had a presidential debate last night. While people are arguing, via emotion, who won, I'd like to say, I did. Using logic and reasoning. You don't even have to try and use Voodoo economics to explain why your future candidate is better than the other one. All you have to do is look at your past, go back 6000 years or 6 years. Then study me. You will find, everything economic, from the 170 worldwide currencies including the US dollar is based on unsound money. From seashells to beads to gold, from Keynesian to Austrian Economics. There is a new worldwide Economic Foundation, you can only measure it from BEFORE I was founded to AFTER I was founded. When you do that comparison, everything is headed to zero compared to me. Stop arguing. Start learning. It's all open source, via an immutable timechain. Invest in your future. Now. You've had almost 16 years to make a decision, this is on you, no one else. Every one of you is the CFO of your family's finances. No excuses. No drama. No emotion. Bitcoin"
Harris kicked Trump's ass last night. It may be 8 years before the US gets a pro-Bitcoin president but I am on a low time preference and would rather wait than have that jackass back in office. In the meantime, how about some other country step up to lead with Bitcoin and let America play catchup. The educated American people will be able to buy Bitcoin along side everyone else regardless.
The US Presidential Debate tonight: When you hear the TV Networks say, "we are going to be doing live fact checking with AI." Me: It doesn't matter, look at this cartoon. Trump is the poster child of Altcoins, with his DJT Coin, and NFTs. For you meat eating Bitcoiners like me, remember how DJT likes his steak? A: Well done with ketchup Sure Harris has a lot to learn with Bitcoin but I'd rather she didn't speak on the topic and look like an idiot by not knowing the subject like Trump did. Thankfully, when it comes to these two candidates and Bitcoin, "Politics Don't Matter." image
For the record: NFTs are: F-ART (Fake Art) or SH-ART (Shit Art)
"RUN ON SENTENCE ON PURPOSE" ALERT In America when the Economic policies on both sides of the aisle make no sense (or make no cents) and you realize the only way out is going to be to print more US Dollars with the US Dollar being the 'best looking horse in the glue factory' as the entire world operates on Broken Money and people still don't take the time to learn and understand why we back a Bitcoin solution?
@Bitcoin Lebowski I hope you hang out here more often, your posts are so spot on and I am selfishly trying to stock the pond over here with the best Bitcoin Koi.
"Money Grows on Trees" We are welcoming a Spanish International Student in our home for a few months. Knowing I like to cook, her family gave us a Spanish Cookbook. I read it cover to cover and it was full of interesting facts. One was how the term, "money grows on trees" was actually from when cocoa was used as currency. I looked it up of course: "Cocoa pods grow on trees, and from Mayan and Aztec times right up until the 1850s the beans inside were used as a unit of currency. Even if cocoa is no longer used as a unit of currency, it's still incredibly valuable – and cocoa prices are still spiking to new heights...(2024)" image
A lot of FUD with MSM in America and Bitcoin. 1) By Forbes' Billy Bambrough below 2) By writers on thestreet.com (founded by non other than James Cramer, that James Cramer) For the top one, is Arthur Hayes really a 'Legendary Trader"? My take is no and how many times do Bitcoiners have to warn people to never 'trade' Bitcoin? Bitcoin isn't a stock. image
Bitcoin has changed my mental and physical life. One man's solution. Code. Even if Bitcoin goes to zero, you can't put a price tag for the past 4 years of optimism I have been living with and the PoW is simply talking to or looking at me. Smiling. Quality of Life. What a gift. Thank you, Satoshi.
"4.1625%" Less than 5%. Why does Bitcoin feel like an "America Only" currency? Why does it feel the world is 'waiting' for America, to see what America does, to see how America leads via its policy and politicians? We are coming up on 16 years and America still is floundering with Bitcoin. But so are so many other nations? How come another El Salvador hasn't arisen? Never mind Microstrategy has the equivalent of 36 times their nation state? Where is Japan? UAE? Ukraine? Europe? How do you feel with Marathon stamping "Made in the USA" into the blocks they mine or former President JA saying "All Bitcoin will be Made in the USA." Never mind 'Facts Don't Matter' anymore. Regardless, Satoshi built Bitcoin for People. All People. Bitcoin is not only for: - Rich nations - American Billionaires - American companies Will the world complain if Bitcoin takes off and so many American people will own Bitcoin? Perhaps the rest of Bitcoin will not be "Made in America" but "Paid in America"? Will Bitcoin end of being revered or loathed world wide like the US Dollar? Does any of this make you upset? Oh yeah, the title of this post? "4.1625%" That is the percent of 330 Million American PEOPLE divided by the current world population of 8 Billion PEOPLE. All for 21 Million Bitcoin. Almost 16 years. Where are you Bitcoiners outside the American GPS coordinates? No excuses. Smash Buy to Smash Save. Come on, people. Tick Tock Next Block. image
I have only had purple laser eyes as a nod to both Bitcoin and NOSTR.
"When was the last time you were uncomfortable?" I apologize to those of you outside the United States, please ignore this post. It seems everyone's politics match the ugliness of their respective currencies. This is a thank you note, to @🇺🇸🇺🇸TERRENCE whom I have listened to for years when he was on Swan Cafe. He was one of the few I resonated with with his humor and his ability to painfully and annoyingly bring up how SPAMming/SCAMing on Bitcoin is bad. Recently, TERRENCE asked me to be on a Spaces called, "Bitcoiners for Harris." I thought that was cool as I have so few 'followers' and never aspire to be an influencer. But, like most, I have strong opinions, especially in cancer and recently Bitcoin so I said sure. What I didn't know was it was a 1on1 only, as I have never spoken on the Internet before and it was an honor so I went with it at TERRENCE'S lead. I am not sure if I rambled on and on so I like to write more than I like to speak. Again, as my granddad told me, "everyone is entitled to their own STUPID opinion." But I want to to show how people can't be boxed into specific groups, especially with Bitcoin. It is annoying to me when I watch a Presidential State of the Union and like sheep half a side (R) stands up to clap or the other half (D) stand up to clap on issues. That isn't human. Where are the various individuals on both sides who stand up and clap regardless of what their group thinks? That is the tough part, to go against the grain (insert the famous Steve Jobs quote here). It is easy to just "Go along" and clap and say "YEAH" when someone says something everyone in the direct, warm center, of the comfort zone. It's harder to branch out, to learn, to change your mind, to change your views, to listen to others, to lean into your differences, to get UNCOMFORTABLE, perhaps to the edge or chaos. That is the problem with our society, we all have to be comfortable. Gone are the days when kids played outside from sunup to sundown and came home so thirsty we drank out of the garden hose like they'd been lost in the desert for days. Today, people can't even walk a mile without a water bottle. I grew up in Kansas, we couldn't afford AC but we had an 'Attic Fan' that basically was like a Convection oven as I fell asleep with my head in the window sill dreaming there was a breeze and not just still humid hot air with a layer of sweat on me. Uncomfortable. Today, I see the younger generation posting videos of how they RAW DOGGED (or whatever stupid name it is) a flight for 8 hours. Meaning they didn't drink water or eat or watch video or read. JESUS CHRIST. Think of the day, our founding mothers and fathers, the covered wagons, chopping wood, our soldiers in battle with trench foot. When was the last time you were uncomfortable, really uncomfortable? It's good for the soul. Especially when discussing tough issues. Tangent but I am who I am. Am I the only one TERRENCE could find who is a Bitcoiner who supports Harris? Why aren't there more of you? How was I selected and not you to speak on that Space? Worried about Mark Cuban or what other Maxis think? Uncomfortable? So, let's dig in, have you already labeled me a Liberal as I simply live in Minneapolis and support Harris? I have the guts to stand up on both sides of issues so I applaud a candidate who is willing to meet in the middle of issues and change their mind. When Trump considers this a threat? Him: "Hey, you can't be for Securing the Border when it is my issue?" Me: "Yes you can." So I tried to convey this speaking on the Space, but let's do a stream of conscience lightning round. Me: Yes, I live in Minneapolis. I love Minneapolis. Yes I live in Ilhan Omar's district, no I have never voted for her, extremism has to go on both sides. Yes I went out my front door with my then 18 year old daughter to where George Floyd died. No, George Floyd is not a poster child of good and Derek Chauvin is an ahole cop rightly in prison. No, I do not believe in Defund the Police and agree most police are great and I thank them in person always for being Peace Officers to 'serve and protect.' Yes I have a ton of MAGA/NRA friends but I will never own a gun since I don't have the right temperament. No, I do not live my life fear based and lean socially liberal. No, I don't like Kamala's fiscal policy, especially in Unrealized Gains (I think of Saylor.) The last 2 presidents have added $16 Trillion to our debt, the next President will not be any better for our debt issue, and Bitcoin could care less. Bottom line, as I spoke on this, "we spend trillions on trying to kill the people we hate than save the people we love." TRUMP: Will spend $10 Trillion on fear based policy HARRIS: Will spend $10 Trillion on love based policy Bottom line, pretty much a waste of money on both sides but I'd rather help people in America, the homeless or addicted or veterans or get people I love into a house. Trump's Bitcoin Talk in Nashville was an embarrassment to Bitcoin, to me. He has no idea what he was talking about but sure he rang some bells for the center of the crowd. Low effort. "BOOOOOO" ...and Kamala Harris is no different but at least I have hope she will take the time to learn about Bitcoin starting with the "Crypto for Harris" crowd who clearly doesn't understand the difference between Bitcoin versus Crypto. "BOOOOO" Both sides, I was uncomfortable typing this but I hope you were uncomfortable reading it too. It proves we are alive. Fight for Bitcoin. Support those like TERRENCE who support the uncomfortable. Again, just one man's stupid opinions, right Granddad? (insert some meme or picture here as metrics say it is better for engagement)
"17 Satoshis" If there is one indicator of how a currency is crap, you don't even have to look at the US Dollar but look at the US Penny. How many of you would stop to pick up a penny? A loaded question, the majority of us would. But we subliminally view 1/100th of a dollar as almost worthless. When we get pennies, we chuck them into change jars where most of the 288 Billion pennies live and seldom go back to take pennies with us out into consumer land. Now compare those of us who are into Bitcoin, we get excited for ONE SAT which is 1/17th a penny's worth of Bitcoin at today's prices. Why? Because we know today's penny is worth less tomorrow and the day after as inflation steals our buying power. But we believe, based on millions of hours of collective Bitcoin analysis, that Bitcoin NGU and therefore a penny's worth of sats today could be worth a lot more tomorrow. But what about the Penny today, those 17 Sats at today's price, when Bitcoin hits $1,000,000 a coin, then one US Penny is worth 1 Sat so picking up one US penny today on the street could be like picking up 17 pennies tomorrow. Convert your pennies to sats today? image Or at least, seed Phrases on Pennies is cheaper than buying washers. image Sign me, The Thrifty Bitcoiner
I don't care how you relate or identify, whether gender, sexuality, or politics. We all get one shot at living on this planet, why do so many people spend so much of that time hating on others for not being or thinking exactly like they do? Guess what also doesn't care about any of this and spends not even a microsecond thinking aobut it? BITCOIN Bitcoin doesn't care about any government or those trying to control how you think, act, and feel. Leaders of all these flavors of government are powerless to lead over Bitcoin. What a huge sigh of relief for all of us everywhere. Thank you Satoshi, for channeling your rightful angst into creating something so beautiful and changing humanity for good, forever. Once again, my local paper the "Minnesota Star Tribune" (formerly the "Minneapolis Star Tribune" has an opportunity to correct the "uses a huge amount of energy" narrative for Bitcoin but goes for the lazy way out. What happened to journalists who researched complex articles? Where are they? image Reality: "Banking uses 56 times more energy than Bitcoin: Valuechain report" Lyn: Lyn wrote this recently update article: "Bitcoin's Energy Usage Isn't A Problem. Here's Why" She starts by saying how Newsweek did this prediction: For example, back in December 2017, Newsweek ran a piece called, “Bitcoin Mining on Track to Consume All of the World’s Energy By 2020“ All the world's Energy: 176,000 TWh Bitcoin usage: 100 TWh (As Lyn stated, less than one tenth of one percent and never mind the well known 2-3% off either way factor with this type of analysis. One word English translation: NEGLIGIBLE. The business term is 'Rounding Error.') Update 2/20/2023: Listen to Saylor explain the Bitcoin Energy Usage compared to the US Navy, the "Nuclear Navy", more distributed, wall of energy, "silicon ratchet","all the computing power in the world, 10%, wouldn't dent Bitcoin" : Banks: 4,981 TWh Best quote by Troy Cross: "Bitcoin doesn't waste energy, Bitcoin uses waste energy." Finally, though when the bankers are paying the politicians: image
