In the podcast, the China was mentioned that govt there went in to provinces and no matter the price, just told everyone what they need to do, which factory to open etc. To keep everyone employed, and it worked. So they went into debt to do all of that to work on something they can offer to other countries and have it for themselves too. The underlying thought here that currently any government, especially if it hasn’t been much in debt, can go into debt or more into it to fund anything they want, they can also just go ahead print the money/or do other manipulations to have more money out of nothing (US case) Now that makes it super unfair to everyone else, me personally, if I want to do something that involves spending, max I can get is probably €10k loan from a bank which isn’t much and would be for 1-2 years max to repay it with extra %. The point I want to make is about something else though - why government can’t be the VC fund for people and why can’t the government pay for an in house IT company or a team of designers which will cost some breadcrumbs from any stupid bureaucratic or enterprise initiative It’s like government is good with the way things work and doesn’t want to change or improve on anything unless people go riot and stuff or go starving etc. I believe a small group of designers like myself and engineers could 20x the efficiency of a lot of fundamental processes which are heavily burocratized now and are super hard or inconvenient for people. Why does government not invest into making people lives easier? Do they try to think about people by classes, not individually? In this case our governments may be too big to be enough grounded to the reality.

Watching Foundation now and it’s crazy how in almost every new show or a movie there is always a gay couple or other non binary people. Who’s pushing for that? If you go outside you’ll see maybe 1 gay couple out of thousands of couples. It doesn’t matter for the plot if it’s a gay couple or normal. Feels like we’re being forced to consume this.

Fan DAOs, do they already exist? Let’s take a football club - Barcelona. Imagine they’re releasing an official platform and auctioning NFTs in a way that there is a new NFT to come every X amount of time. Money goes to a treasury and owners can have a vote now on which proposal to spend the money on. Let’s say 10k fans purchase an NFT from an auction like that. If each can go for $1k on average, it’s $10M already. With this amount you could do a lot of things already. The club should exist for the fans, not be a machine for the corporations to push their marketing to people. People could vote to remove a sponsor and replace one, imagine instead of a sponsor logo there can be 11 random holders picked to have their NFT printed on the shirts of the players? Imagine how many fun and unique things fans can come up with, with such a budget. Maybe clubs of the future will be fully funded by the team and fans.

My previous post got me thinking… I’m also playing ping pong 🏓 weekly. And finding about about the problems people and clubs have. For example the strongest coach I know so far, he said he’s the youngest coach among the board he’s a part of in Portugal. People running this sport are getting old, don’t want to change anything etc. He spent his first 5 years in a club, earning nothing, even paying to play and coach. Working insane hours towards his dream. Only after 5 years he got noticed and government provided a small funding. Now nothing really changed I think if you’re at the starting position. Why all of the sport is so corporatized, why do some people have to control all of it and decide what to do and where to spend money on? Who chose these people? How are they related to the players, clubs and fans? I was thinking if crypto can solve a lot of these issues, to have transparent DAOs, a token, a platform for all things table tennis. There people will be able to make a history no one can erase, be motivated to play better and win, then vote on where the money are going, on the rules etc. It can be a TTT token - Table tennis token that could support all of that or any other crypto solution

Why people shouldn’t shop for groceries on their own by default. In today's modern age, the way we shop for groceries is flawed. Instead of purchasing what our bodies truly require, we're often swayed by marketing tactics, fancy packaging, or simply personal cravings. This has led to a surge in health issues and a lack of essential nutrients in our diet. Here are some reasons why: Shopping Based on Body Needs: At the core, food is fuel. Our choices should be based on what our bodies need the most and would benefit from. Yet, the average person doesn't have the knowledge or time to research each product and determine if it meets their unique nutritional requirements. AI and Nutritional Guidance: In an age of technological advancement, each individual could benefit from the guidance of an AI or a certified nutritionist. Imagine walking into a store and having a personalized list of items that are tailored to your specific health needs. No more guesswork, just optimized health. Overwhelming Choices: Today's supermarkets present a paradox of choice. There are so many products available that making the 'right' choice becomes daunting. It's incredibly easy to be sidetracked and purchase items that are not only unnecessary but could also be harmful. A Designed Dilemma: The current system is structured in such a way that it's more profitable for companies when we buy impulsively or choose unhealthier options. There's a lack of emphasis on promoting products that are genuinely beneficial for our health. In conclusion, perhaps it's time to reconsider the way we shop for groceries. Instead of leaving it up to individuals to navigate the intricate web of food choices, a more structured and personalized approach could lead to a healthier society.
