Hey Nostr rockstars 🤘 It's been a few days since i logged on, but been following recent developments via the likes of Citadel Dispatch and RHR on zap.stream so i guess that counts. The Samourai Wallet news hit me hard. I largely steered clear of the drama over the years, and i can't speak to whether they broke any laws. But they built a tool that hundreds - if not thousands - of human rights activists and freedom fighters used to protect their families' privacy and safety. If law enforcement does deanonymize these users' transactions (and I fear that they will), it is incumbent upon them to carefully guard (ie encrypt or destroy) that data. I'm not optimistic. What exactly is #plebchain ?

I'm trying to get more comfortable using hashtags here. They have often seemed a bit superficial to me, at least wth previous social media systems... But, as a way to find and organize content, I see the utility of it. So here goes: What are some hashtags thst you recmmend a new user to follow? #asknostr

How was everybody's weekend? The halving (my first!) was a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I expected a "NYE ball drop" type of event, with the accompanying anticlimactic end. Instead, it felt very significant. Bearing witness to an event so fundamental to what Bitcoin is, and why it works, was a profound experience -- and even more so while sharing it with a few other people who also recognize and appreciate the halving's importance. Oh, and my "computers" don't seem to be making as money as they did last week 🤔

What are the vibes like on Nostr, say, on Monday or a weekday vs the weekend? Does it change? Is it busier during certain periods? I imagine if it's a global network then it's never really asleep... what have been peoples' experience thus far?
