I just paid for lunch with #Cashu at a restaurant in Prague and it was amazing! All I needed was the eNuts - Nutshell - LNbits - LND - Confirmo - Qerko stack 😅

Why Do Old Books Smell So Good? TL;DR: An almond scent comes from benzaldehyde in the paper. Vanillin, the main compound in vanilla, is responsible for a sweet vanilla fragrance. Ethylbenzene, used in inks and paints, has a sweet plastic smell. 2-Ethyl hexanol, found in solvents and scents, smells lightly floral.

So what is the current consensus to split long bitcoin addresses for visual verification? Chunks of 4 characters separated with spaces?

Another day, another reason to say GFY to PayPal! PayPal has locked the #GrapheneOS account with nearly $4000 worth of donations. Let's rally together and match the frozen amount with direct donations to their hardware wallet:

I ordered 4 items from an e-shop, and they registered 4 separate packages with the shipping company. However, they later realized one of the items was out of stock and issued a refund for it. Interestingly, since they'd already registered 4 packages, they went ahead and shipped 4 packages...one of which was completely EMPTY! The icing on the cake? The empty package was labeled as "FRAGILE!!! Handle with care." 😂

One major improvement that I see between LLaMa and LLaMa-2: While LLaMa consistently claims that @Trezor was made by Satoshi Nakamoto, LLaMa-2 consistently claims that it was made by SatoshiLabs! 😃 (I'm comparing 7B variants)

In an interesting twist of technology evolution, IMAX film reels were once controlled by Palm Pilot units. However, since these are no longer readily available, the control of IMAX film reels has transitioned to an iPad running a Palm Pilot emulator.

What’s the oldest floppy disk you held in your hands? • 8 inch • 5.25 inch • 3.5 inch • Floppy disk? I used 3.5” floppies back in the 90s a lot! I remember that once I was copying NHL’97 from a friend on 100 FD only to realize it won’t work on my 486 machine (it required Pentium instructions to run). In the early 90s I used 5.25” but it was not on my computer, it was friend’s. End of 90s my dad brought me a couple of 8” FD, so I held them in my hands, but never used them with a computer, because there was none to use these around me at that time.

What's the earliest Linux Kernel version you recall using? For me, it was version 2.0.36 back in 1999. It was part of the Brutalware Linux 1.1 distribution, which you would boot up from a floppy disk using MS-DOS with LOADLIN.EXE. Ah, those were the days!

AirPods, particularly in transparency mode, offer an interesting approach to augmented reality. However, to truly enhance their utility, it would be beneficial if there was an external indicator to show whether or not they are in use (maybe a LED?). This would allow others to know if they can initiate a conversation. In the past, the sight of someone wearing headphones was a clear signal not to disturb them, but with the prevalence of AirPods today, that dynamic has shifted. On the other hand, bone-conducting headphones like Sentien don't face this issue, as they don't block the ear canal, ensuring the user is always ready to listen.
