most people in the world are decent, reasonable, and understanding. the fringe extremists who are unreasonable, no decency, and lack of understanding---these people are used by the media and social media platforms to get money. Eyeballs=money. Unfortunately, this is not exactly making society a better place. Have skepticism and question what you read. Do not blindly believe everything you see. There is usually a hidden profit motive underpinning these social media platforms, media outlets, and television stations. Get comfortable challenging what people tell you to be true. Ask people to prove that what they tell you is real. Be skeptical and wary of charlatans who deceive the masses with veiled truths and pseudoscience.

I like sharing myself with the world. But the people on blast by these platforms is the fringe extremist ultra-judgmental people. Their idea of activism is by "being as judgmental as possible." That's not activism. That's not bringing about change. The internet connects the world. Unfortunately, there will always be hackers and people interfering with that connection. There will always be bad actors. The vast majority of people are reasonable and not at all fringe extremists. The platforms have to take some of the blame for promoting, mostly, these fringe extremists and dividing this nation further. The platforms profit off of division. The platforms do not profit from reasonable, logical, understanding people.

South Park's idea of funny is being as rude and insulting as possible.. the full Trump-mode. trump-mode isn't my idea of comedy. sorry. gonna go elsewhere.

I tried so hard to enjoy south park. I followed them religiously for years. Now, I realize the mental anguish involved in following them. They are there to insult celebrities. They're not there to tell jokes about society. they are there to tear it all down.

There is no truly great social media platform out there. Protocols are more benign. But you have people like Mark Zuckerberg who own a giant platform and make things about growth rather than understanding and reasonableness.

well. I like social media. It is fun. But people have something to say about... EVERYTHING. Everyone's got an opinion on social media. It's haywire. It's chaotic. there's no logical progression of thinking. there's just my opinion on blast all day long. that's dumb. There needs to be a better system for posting to the world yourself without the crap of strangers.
