"Because man somewhere in one of these memories is the evidence" How many of you saw that film in the cinema when it came out?πŸ§πŸ˜…
Of interest to anyone who likes coffee. I followed my wife brewing the hand drip method this morning and here's a breakdown of the steps. #coffee #grownostr image Weigh the beans, in this case 12g. image Grind beans(grind grade set at 4.5) image Ground beans placed in dripper and scale recalibrated to reflect weight of beans. image Water boiled to 96c image First pour, water poured using a gentle circular motion to stimulate the entire grind. image Each pour is approximately 30g of water and a pause to let the water fully seep through before starting the next pour. image Final pour brings the total to about 220g( a pre chosen quantity based on experience with the bean). Notice the timer was started at first pour. image Final seep complete and timer shows 3:09 minutes. A little long and this reflected in the profile of the brew.....slightly more bitter than if the pour had been completed closer to the 2 minute mark. What influences the seep timing?.......the attention to the circular motion of the pour that should wind outwards from the middle of the grind in the dripper very delicately. The pour influences the aroma/flavour actually quite significantly. image
Our notes are as much a reflection of our current psychologies as they are of worldly "events". Don't get me wrong I am no better than anyone and like everyone subject to the influence of the externalities. I practise trying to be aware of it. πŸ™
Not tatted myself but respect the tradition and art. Old vid from 1984 which is cool. #Tattoo
I saw 3 small Indian mongooses (mongeese?) Urva auropunctata yesterday for the first time on this island. I'm guessing they might have been introduced in the 19th century or so, as an attempt to control pests, ironically also introduced species, that were impacting the sugar cane crop. #grownostr
As we just received our beans yesterday we've decided to spoil ourselves and have 2 cups this morning. This bean is the typical explosive, fruity "bubble gum" characteristic of beans processed in the Honey Process method. Life is good!😎 image
Not quite as full on "bubble gum" as some of the Musician Series honey process beans but still a solid fruity aroma and profile. image
If your world view is spooked by sensational headlines and "content" such as the "ccp dumping US treasuries", "Brics is taking over" type entertainment, imo you are doing your self a disservice by not researching more and reading a broader range of analysis. We should maintain vigilance of the bubbles that we choose to enjoy being in.
So all the Challenger astronauts are still aliveπŸ₯³ 😜 As a good Indian friend used to say in response to the hilarity of life's chaos.... "VHAT a LIFE it IS!"
