Passing brown envelopes under the table to avoid trouble when you weren't even IN trouble but just have to play to get things done is a reality for so many people and it sucks imho.
As a 1970 born, I have to keep reminding myself how much of a mind blow it is that at very frequent and regular times over the last few years, we've been able to see a snake of satellites travelling across the sky on their journey to orbit for the task of providing internet connectivity to us on earth from space.

In nostr late '22 early '23 I followed as many as possible. A small pool of users meant that most users notes that I followed I'd see.
Now at this stage I want variety and I love to see so many different posts firing into my feed through the day and night.......however, I notice that I miss a quite substantial number of pertinent notes from many of the people that I follow simply due to time zone or volume of notes in my feed. I'm wondering about now, somewhat reluctantly, whether I should be culling my follow list?
Or could there be a way for me some give a "weighting" to some of my follows so that I can personally choose to have notes from certain users get into a more personalised "note trend". I seldom look at the default "trending notes" on my client but maybe it would be cool if instead I could select my own follows who I'd like to see highlighted in my own "recent notes" type list. You know that list at the side in the window of some clients. So the option to self choose between "trending 24 hr" and "top follows notes" on that side-bar?
