Fellow 3d printer people. This picture shows why I kept getting z-axis homing errors. Has this happened to any of you? 😅 #3dprinting image

I got an airbrush 3 weeks ago. I havent tested it until now (3d printing got all my attention). I did a test to get a feel for how it works. I'm posting the test piece which I outlined with black pen, something I like to do. It looks weird and abstract. I also printed an ergonomic handle for the brush. #art#artstr#3dprinting image image

Made this painting for my friend who runs 3 tourist shops in Reykjavík. We call them puffin shops. My friend sells puffins in his shops although he finds it a bit silly. With this piece I want to remind him of that in a funny way. #art #artstr image

This is a bidirectional crank and slider mechanism I designed and printed. Uses a microservo and controlled by arduino uno R4. I am working on making a model plane, this is one part of it and I'm happy it works now since this has taken many hours and revisions to work. I need to improve my documentation and will be posting more as this project progresses (*if anyone cares that is) #3dprinting https://video.nostr.build/1afbdc45dd25322e895ef116a6bd42db2117ef2b3ab353ed2ea5026b73dc717a.mp4 image

I am now in the East of Iceland helping put up an exhibition, Sigurður Ámundason is the artist. We are staying at this old beautiful house which functions as an artist residency. I found this "code of conduct" paper posted in the shared kitchen area and I had to share it, I find it so funny 😂. Basically they could have saved lots of ink by cutting the message down to one sentence 🤡. It seems bigotry is so rampant in our society we need at least five bullet points before we remind people of disposing of the trash properly. image

DNA alpha helix model. I'm starting to understand better how to print more efficiently now and when it comes to multicolour prints its best to separately print each colour component, if it's all in one go it will take all night. image #3dprinting

Here is a bacteriophage virus model (model by Jpxfrd on printables.com) My wife needs some models for a kids science day visit at her work (she works in a biotechnology lab). The T4 bacteriophage is in my opinion the coolest looking virus, it looks like a spider or like Rocky from Project Hail Mary. The T4 phage is used as a vector in cloning and biotech recombination methods. Medical research has also taken an intrest in the phage to use as "antibiotic" because it targets bacteria. #3dprinting image

My first 3D print. Not my design, by Stigern on Printables.com. Garden Gnome Sniper painted. I gave it to my friend for his birthday. #3Dprinting image

I finally got a 3D printer. I have wanted one for probably 3 years now. This is one of the cheaper ones but good to get started and it looks decent. I plan to use this printer for prototyping and building parts for a model RC glider plane I'm working on. Lots of things here are new to me but I learn best by doing. #3dprinting image
