In the shower, I realized if I can hook up my grain cart to my gravity feeder, I will have almost entirely automated bacon. All I need is an auger, a 5 hp propane engine, and a sensor. Their water is already automated to a solar setup i ghetto rigged. That would reduce my work down to just moving them, (plus the breeders which if this setup works I could easily duplicate this setup in a slightly different fashion for them). Maybe it would cost me $2k at most, but could drop my labor to 0 for years which is my main problem ATM. #permaculture
