Does #nostr have disappearing messages yet? If not, why not, and is it in the works? #asknostr
I understand that the Bitcoin network decentralized, however the code is maintained on Github, and therefore write-access to the codebase is very centralized. In what sense then is Bitcoin's development not centralized? Why does Bitcoin not have something like a DAO instead? #bitcoin #dao #asknostr
#nostr is not as addictive as it could be. Some will definitely say this is a feature. But part of it is also that it’s not nearly as useful yet as it could be. #grownostr
We stand on the shoulders of giants.
I think if #weboftrust #wot #spam filtering is ever going to be widely successful on #nostr, it would need to be highly transparent, so that it can evolve propertly.
There would need to be some kind of "spam folder" where you could go see what's been blocked and PRECISELY the reason why.
For example: "This note was muted because it was marked as spam by @jb55 and you flagged him as trusted in your WOT."
If NOSTR is about giving control back to the users, then give it back to the users. Don't hide everything away in a black box.
#damus seems to respect “deleted notes” and not show them. Cool. So when is #damus going to let you delete notes from inside Damus? #asknostr nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s
Hey nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tcewvzaw. The delete note button (Request Deletion) should probably ask for confirmation, instead of just instantly doing it. It's not the kind of action you'd want to accidentally click on.
