This was an interesting study looking at if coronary CTA in people 50-64 years old improved the prediction of primary cardiac events. They did find a mild improvement in the prediction of primary cardiac events in people who had previously been determined to be low risk for cardiac events based on risk factors and coronary artery calcium score. ideally if the radiation exposure from cardiac CTA could be minimized more people would likely benefit from getting CTAs.
