Currently the US is in a stagflation period (increasing inflation and decreasing growth) and we may be headed for a stock market decline in 2026. Americans who are retired should speak with their financial advisors to plan for this possible decline. 🇺🇸 There are a few ways this could happen. One is that as of this summer the top 10% of income earners (>$150k/year) are propping up 50% of the economy, if they pull back on spending because of increasing inflation, tariffs, and unemployment the stock market would be expected to decline. The second is that the growth of the stock market is overly dependent on AI and tech companies and it’s not clear if that will produce any meaningful results in the next 1-2 years, if it doesn’t than the stock market will likely decline. If it does produce significant results then the number of tech employees making six figures being laid off will go up, which means the spending of the top 10% income earners would be expected to go down and the stock market would be expected to decline.

The Trump Administration has put incompetent people in charge of ICE and they need to find new people to run ICE. The current people in charge don’t seem to know that they have to check for US citizens’ IDs. It’s not as if checking IDs is a difficult thing to do, pretty much any bouncer could tell you how to do it efficiently. Congress should step in and intervene as they are our elected officials 🇺🇸 US Citizen Frank Miranda was outside his place of work early on Oct. 2 when multiple agents wearing masks, who did not identify themselves, approached him and told him he was “on an overstay,” his attorney Michael Fuller said. In a video that Miranda took of his detention, he can be heard saying, “What do you mean, overstay? I don’t know what that is.” He told the officers that he was born in California. After objecting to being taken into custody and saying he hadn’t done anything wrong, an officer can be heard on the video saying, “We’re gonna put you in cuffs or you’re gonna get the dog.“
