Could AI police and military robots lead to the extinction of humans? Chinese AI police robots are being used in China, Thailand, and other countries. The important question is what happens if humans lose control of the ability to turn off or control the actions of police and military robots? Will humans be able to control autonomous AI police and military robots long-term? Currently AI police and military robots are controlled by governments, run relatively slowly and are not being given guns, but what happens when robots can think for themselves, are able to run faster, and have guns? We need global discussions and policies to address these issues. Chinese robotics company Logon Technology unveiled the RT-G autonomous spherical robot in what it described as a "technological breakthrough". It can withstand a whopping 4 tonnes of impact damage to prevent criminals from trying to cover their tracks and kill it. The RT-G can also be equipped with non-fatal police gear like net guns, tear gas sprayers, some grenades, loudspeakers, and sound wave dispersal devices.

Weakest ADP jobs report in two years points to hiring freeze tied to the Trump Administration’s tariff trade wars. In addition, the spending bill in the Senate is expected to increase the federal debt by $2.4 trillion which will increase inflation further. In this scenario where stagflation is being triggered by economic policy, the Fed can’t lower interest rates because the US is not going into a recession, it’s going into stagflation. Generally to then get the US out of stagflation later this year the Fed would need to raise interest rates to further decrease consumer spending. This is an odd scenario because the Trump Administration is putting policies in place to trigger stagflation and seems to be unaware that they are doing this. 🇺🇸 https://www.marketwatch.com/story/trade-wars-dent-hiring-adp-says-businesses-created-a-paltry-37-000-private-sector-jobs-last-month-3e99a317

Americans slow to book summer travel 🇺🇸 Hotel summer bookings are either flat or falling from last year, and airline bookings are down even though airfares have also declined, as economic concerns fuel a pullback in spending. The dollar's weakness has driven up the cost of overseas vacations. "The dollar is just not going as far and I think people are starting to realize that," said Chirag Panchal, CEO of the Ensuite Collection, a Dallas luxury travel concierge. The dollar has fallen about 10% since mid-January. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/americans-slow-book-summer-travel-amid-discount-hunting-2025-06-03/ image

Amazon has hundreds of thousands of robots working in its sortation and fulfillment centers. We can expect that at least 50% of warehouse, manufacturing, and factory jobs in the US to be replaced by AI enabled robots in the next 10 years, we can see this is already happening at a faster rate in China where AI robots are capable of coordination, intelligent decision-making, full-process autonomy, and cross-industry adaptability. So the US needs a plan about how to help human Americans whose jobs will be replaced by AI robots in the next 10 years as well increase spending on STEM education so more Americans can work in areas such as AI engineering, data science, robot mechanics, and related industries as this is the future.
