AI robotic technology seems to be rapidly progressing, which is great for industries where there are shortages of workers, but also requires government planning about how to help humans who are replaced by robots in industries where there aren’t many jobs available. AI-powered robot nurses, Nurabots, to help tackle future nursing shortages and nursing burnout unveiled in Taiwan. The idea is to provide “better patient care” by allowing the machine to take over some tasks such as ward patrols, visitor guidance and medicine or specimen deliveries. The hope is that future versions of the Nurabot will be able to talk to patients in multiple languages, recognize faces and even help lift patients. image

Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee said when asked about Trump's new actions Friday morning. "Over the longer run, if they're putting in place tariffs that have a stagflationary impact … then that's the central bank's worst situation." 🇺🇸 What’s is even more surprising is that the Trump Administration seems to have no idea that they seem to be sending the US economy to stagflation. In addition to higher prices from tariffs the Trump Administration’s spending bill that is currently in the Senate quite dramatically increases federal debt which will also increase prices via inflation. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/05/23/goolsbee-says-fed-now-has-to-wait-longer-before-moving-rates-because-of-trade-policy-uncertainty.html image

Exciting new robotic TEE technology, we will likely see AI robotic use become widespread in cardiology in the next 10-15 years. Study: Robotic transesophageal echocardiography procedures are both safe and feasible, according to a new first-in-human study published in JACC: Cardiovascular Imaging. ROB’E has developed a new remote-controlled robotic (RCR) system users are able to remotely manipulate TEE probes, performing precise movements and even saving specific positions so they can be duplicated as needed. Schewel et al. shared their first-in-human experience using this RCR system on five patients. Three patients presented with severe heart valve disease, and the other two presented for patent foramen ovale screening after a stroke. All patients underwent a standard manual TEE followed by an RCR-guided TEE to evaluate the technology’s safety and feasibility. image

GOP bill could add trillions to the U.S. deficit in defense spending and billionaire tax cuts. 🇺🇸 This will lead to higher prices from inflation on top of higher prices from the Trump Administration’s tariffs. With consumer spending decreasing as prices increase we can expect the current economic policies will likely trigger US stagflation over the summer. image

Are healthcare layoffs coming soon? Cuts to Medicaid will likely lead to hospital and clinic layoffs due to loss of funding from patients losing insurance coverage. US health groups vow to fight GOP cuts worth $88 billion to Medicaid and Obamacare. The proposal has divided Republicans, Democrats are opposing Medicaid cuts. 🇺🇸 Republicans are in a tough position because President Trump wants them to increase the Pentagon’s budget and give billionaires tax cuts which will increase the federal deficit and inflation for Americans if there are no other cuts like cutting Medicaid. image
