I had a fascinating convo with machine learning expert, but a guy that really knows what he is talking about. It seems that the latest advances are bigger than I though. You know the part that everyone is laughing about now with GPT-3, the lying and hallucinating things and made up sources, this is the easy to solve problem and the hardest problems were actually just solved. The new models have fascinating properties that even experts are surprised about - like eg. easiness of mood detection or being able to represent emotions in art. Seems that when it comes to machine learning next 10 years will be crazy and one of the biggest problems of upcoming times will be the psychological effects of cheap automation and eg. depression of ppl not being able to define themselves with their careers
