A consistent pattern is people misunderstanding Plebs. The app is not for consolidating all videos shared across Nostr. It’s the entry point for quality videos with thumbnails by creators who want to ensure there’s redundancy of their videos. People keep wanting to think it should load their single hosted video from some random host. But that doesn’t keep it censorship-resistant. By having Plebs handle the uploading process across multiple Blossom servers, it allows its fallback mechanism to work beautifully. If one host goes down, it’ll try matching the video’s hash with another Blossom host until it finds one to load. That way there’s no single-point of failure. But for some reason it seems people keep wanting the same centralization no different from YouTube. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
