A just government exists to protect the life, liberty, and property of a nation’s citizens. An unjust government plunders the people’s property, rewards the wicked, and criminalizes the good. Corrupt courts render unjust decisions and crooked politicians pass unjust laws. But God sees and he will not withhold his hand forever. Woe to them. #devotional

When your country is ruled by a swamp of corrupt, scheming, evildoing rats, the righteous groan. They are even targeted and persecuted. But when justice reigns, it brings terror to the swamp. Let us pray for justice to rule our nations, for wrongdoers to be punished, and the blameless to be vindicated.  #devotional

The distance from the west to the east cannot be measured. For all we know, the universe is infinite in all directions. Yet this is how far away our sins are removed from us! How deep is the ocean? It’s but a puddle by comparison. How far away is the horizon? You reach out and touch it compared to how far away our sins are. Praise be to God! He is the first and the last. How high are the heavens above the Earth? The Voyager satellites have been ascending from the Earth since the 1970’s. They are now more than a billion miles from us and beyond the solar system, yet their journey has only started. This is God’s love for us.
