Our daughter, Tina, has been bravely battling leukemia, and the journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. Tina is our light, our joy, and our reason to keep pushing forward. Watching her endure the pain and uncertainty of her illness has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced as parents. There are days when the weight of worry feels unbearable, and the fear of the unknown looms large. We often find ourselves in quiet moments, holding her hand, praying for strength and healing. It’s in these moments that we feel the warmth of your support, reminding us that we are not alone in this fight.
While many people have suggested alternative treatments they believe could help Tina, I want to take a moment to explain why we have chosen to stick with conventional medical care. The world of alternative medicine can be enticing, especially when you’re desperate to find a solution for your child’s suffering. However, we have consulted with numerous medical professionals and have come to understand that the treatment protocols for leukemia are based on extensive research and clinical trials that have proven effective.

These treatments may be difficult for her to endure, but they are designed to target the cancer cells specifically while minimizing harm to her healthy cells. We have witnessed firsthand how these treatments can lead to remission and hope for a brighter future. While we appreciate the suggestions but, we must prioritize evidence-based medicine and the guidance of our healthcare team.
Our financial situation has also played a significant role in our decision-making process. The costs associated with Tina’s treatment are overwhelming, and we are doing our best to navigate this burden. Each hospital visit, medication, and therapy adds up quickly, leaving us anxious about how we will manage it all. The thought of pursuing alternative treatments that may not be scientifically validated adds an additional layer of uncertainty that we simply cannot afford right now.
