Buying lottery tickets is a tax on the poor. As many people started to realize that day trading became a thing. They don't call it gambling. They call it trading. Everyone's a trader. In reality, everyone is gambling. Some for livelihood, some for high, some for greed. As with casinos who see less customer interest in their machines, get new machines and propogate them, prediction markets are the new machines in stock market world. Gambling is what is running the US for decades now. That and devaluation to make it look like you're getting richer.
