Before I knew what NIMBY stood for, I had just voted on such a policy without knowing it. My intentions were good, but I didn't fully understand the consequences. In the foothills of San Jose, CA there was a proposition to build dense housing. I rejected it because I admired the beauty of these hills from the valley. I love how the hills changed colors from a burnt yellow, lush green, and at times even white from the snow near Mt. Lick Observatory. However, another part of me thinks that we could have possibly developed the "Beverly Hills" of the South Bay. It would have given entrepreneurs in the valley a symbol to look up to. Capitalism. Oh wait there's already plenty of that here. Ok but it would have at least meant more housing with some great city views.

The technology subreddit feels more like the anti-technology subreddit. It's quite pessimistic when I think to be truly for technology would necessitate more optimism and progressive views.
Has anyone actually bought Sublime Text?
Any hate I have or have developed towards politicians has made me part of the problem. From now on, I shall hate no one. Except a slight hate for the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles. Go Niners!
Went from a 1080 to a 4090. 8 years between pc builds. I expected an order magnitude improvement in graphics, but storage is the real surprise. Nvme m.2 SSDs are stupid fast at 5gbp. I installed the Witcher 3 in a minute or so 🤯

The most important feature when buying tech products is release date. And so many websites (best buy) don't let you filter by release date :(
Dang I knew I'd be placed in House Slytherin. I'm at peace with it

Also just realized, I haven't been to the California DMV in years. They're online services have gotten good!
I was wondering whether electric vehicles could help power homes/grid before we turn on peaker plants. This could strike a nice balance between preserving the car battery's lifespan and alleviating the environment. My question is, does using 20% or so of battery (i.e. 80 to 60%) significantly affect the battery's long term health?
If users could choose their set of moderators for a community or subreddit, could be nice
