@Whitepaper Books If you are open to suggestions on what to carry in your store, I'd like to submit this for consideration:
"Future Imperfect: Technology and Freedom in an Uncertain World" by David Friedman
It's from 2008 and talks about encryption, surveillance, virtual reality, AI, ecash, and contracts in cyberspace (& more).
I'm not through the entire thing yet, but it's been interesting so far, especially with the benefit of hindsight.

Is it just me or is this a hilarious topic to put in... a book?

I accidentially found the ghee last night in the grocery store and HOLY SMOKES, it's expensive. $12.49 for about $3 worth of butter!
Ghee is super easy to make: simmer butter in a pot on the stove, strain out the solids. That's it. There's literally one ingredient.
Like, who buys this? Obviously it's people who know how to cook, since that's the only reason to have ghee in the first place.
This is absolutely perplexing.

This is absolutely perplexing. It might be a good idea to level up your repair skills right now.
You never know when supply lines will get jammed up again and replacements, and even the proper parts, will be unavailable.
Even if there isn't a supply crunch in the next 12 months, guerrilla repair skills can still come in handy. Not just when parts are discontinued, but it enhances your ability to improvise, adapt and overcome.
Bent a rim yesterday. It was bad enough that I had to immediately disconnect the rear brake to continue onward.
Took it to the bike repair project and got a used rim, but didn't have time to fix the broken spoke or replace the bearings.
Will do that on my next trip.
Is there any place I can register a domain and pay in BTC without having a "verified account" with BitPay?
I stopped shopping at NewEgg for this reason and now I found that Gandi is doing this same thing.

24km ride today. It might be child's play for a cyclist, but it's an accomplishment for a pleb like me.
Why hasn't #Nostr integrated DIDs yet? It already has a keypair as an identity... #askNostr

I hope to see the day when paying for a burger and fries over lightning is as unremarkable as paying with a credit card.
Someone talk me down.
I have too many projects and I'm about to order half a dozen or more differeent models or Meshtastic hardware just to try them out.
I don't have a product review blog, or tech review video channel, or anything like that. I don't want one. I just want to know if there is really much of a difference between models.
I need to be finding collaborators, not digging deeper into the little side quests I've been taking.
Someday I'm going to try to crowdsource ideas for a series of nice quality videos that promote the ideas of #decentralized systems & #FreedomTech, starting with #Meshtastic.
Not today though. I've already got too many irons in the fire right now. I'll take that project on when it wouldn't immediately get dropped on the floor. But hey, if someone else wants to do this before I get around to it, go for it.
Hat tip to @Great Ghee for boosting other independent businesses on Nostr!
I just found out about @Bitcoin Beans and am looking forward to see what they have to offer.
One of these days I'm going to do a 24 hour no-phone challenge. This means not having easy, instant access to:
- alarm clock
- my calendar
- clock
- timers
- email / social media / text messaging
- camera
- meshtastic
- web browser
- password manager
- phone calls
We'll see how I cope. Will I grab my T-deck? Probably. Do "phone things" from my computer? Absolutely, but it's more effort to go to my computer than to whip out my phone, so we'll see how that ppays out.
Why take this made up challenge? I feel like I am too dependent on my smart phone. I want to really feel that and see if I like it better going without, what I miss the most and what seems good, but is actually just holding me back.
I'll plug nearly anything into my computer if I made it and flashed the firmware onto it.

Anyone know how much I should expect to pay for a 30-60 second video that shows a diagram of how a product works and comparing that to the design of an open source product (e.g. signet)?
Doesn't have to be a professional design studio or anything, but by someone who understands storyboards, scripts, music & effects, and so on.
I don't know if this would take them an hour or a day, if it'd be something like a $100 or $500+

Hey @West Major, just heard about you today. Looks like high quality stuff. Do you get some or all your fabric domestically?
