I gotta say, having a heat index of 43°C really does slow me down when working outside. Many breaks to come in to cool off and stay hydrated. Be careful out there, fam. Heat exhaustion/stoke is no joke. And one you get it once, you're much more likely to get it again.

I made some supposedly low carb bread and it actually tastes pretty darned good! I had to make a concious effort to stop eating it after 4 slices. Time will tell how low carb it really is. I can measure these things, albeit inderectly.

It's Saturday. I slept in. Now I'm sipping my coffee, relaxin' before I get into my day. Continuing to build a shed, laundry, starting a new batch of cold brew... nothing revolutionary, nothing incredible. Just another weekend at home, taking care of business.

This is the 16mm projector from 1969 that we fixed tonight at the new Repair Cafe. image We also probably fixed a lawn edger (didn't have a battery to try it out), failed to fix a 19" home stereo cassette player (was not going to be able to be diagnosed in a reasonable amount of time), were not able to fix a screwdriver (not designed to be repairable), and didn't get to the 3.5mm headphone jack that someone wanted to put onto... something. Amazing response from the community and everyone had a really positive attitude, even if their object couldn't be repaired. Seriously, without people bringing in things in need of repair, this would just be a huge waste of time. In case any of you are on #nostr, thank you for making this a success.

Who else is running community events to help the masses put Linux on their desktops before Windows 10 abandons them? Do you have any tips to share? I'm going to be involved in one of these in my town and want to learn from those who came before me. I love helping people save money, getting them to switch to open source software, and make the most of what they already have. This is like a perfect storm for me. 😄
