Nostria will never display how many is "following" another account. This is a metric that acts as appeal to authority, instead of looking at actual content, words, meanings and how they affect us, improve us and help us. Anyone can buy bots to boost their "following" or "likes". What we must build is software that makes this issue completely mute. Nostr as a protocol, does allow us to build this. We should all follow other content creators for their content. Nostria has a local "algorithm" that decides what you will see, and it is based upon your usage of Nostria. When you interact with someone, it increases the likelihood that you'll be seeing their content again. This happens on your device, not controlled by a secret and hidden centralized algorithm. Our locally run "algorithm", is not there to keep you engaged as much as possible, but help you experience content from the creators that matters to you. We want your money, nothing else. Sign up with Nostria and be discoverable globally! Even if you're only connected to a single, even a personal relay, you'll be discoverable due to the published relay list to a discovery relay. Nostria hosts Discovery Relays in different regions, and syncs with Purplepages. All Discovery Relays are synced together, so new accounts are discoverable, no matter where they are regionally located.

Nostria is deployed in Africa, Europe and North America at the moment. Regionality is an important aspect of social media. New users on Nostria, will connect to relay and media server that are located in the same region. While there is plenty of spam on Nostr, connecting to a regional relay will contain more locally relevant content, improving the user experience. Our efforts to be available in many global regions should also include us supporting multiple different languages. While we won't translate the whole app just yet, we did add support for multiple languages, including isiZulu and Kiswahili. Unfortunately we can't read it, we hope our community will contribute making Nostria a great experience in many of the worlds languages.

We've updated Nostria Find with options to open the Nostr profile using the default web or default native Nostr client on your device.

We added support for "Publish Event", which allows you to re-publish any event you discover to additional relays. Sometimes you want to move your events from previous relays to new ones, or there was networking issue when you published. It's quick and easy, here is a demonstration:

Work continues and we recently developed yet another new piece of software to support our needs, the Nostria Notification. It's a service that allows user's to setup notifications to be received on different devices. You can even manage other devices from any of your devices, so you can "logout" notifications on a device you don't use anymore and set filter/rules where you get your notifications. Many other new features being added and improved daily!

This is a peer to peer decentralized funding platform built on Bitcoin and Nostr, which we are using to raise funding to complete the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for Nostria. We are running a test deployment in South Africa (Johannesburg) and from Europe we experience 188 ms latency. From Johannesburg to our Discovery Relay, the latency is: 0.760 ms (Microsoft) 1.55 ms (Google) From Cape Town: 20.4 ms (Amazon) This is incredible improvement and will improve the user experience for everyone where Nostria is deployed.
