So @Wallet of Satoshi is there any other way to get the WOS app on android other than the play store ? it seems antithetical to your goals if so. I feel like you should show leadership and offer direct downloads and put it into other app stores (assuming you haven't already and I'm not blind)
If we truly want to grow #Nostr, I think we all need to work at bringing more interesting people onboard.
Work on bringing the ~5 people you appreciate most from X or Bsky or other communities, it will widen the appeal of Nostr a lot, especially if they have interests beyond JUST bitcoin/privacy etc.
Working on selecting the HDDs and SSDs for my new home server. I underestimated how costly 300TB of good disk space is. This is going to hurt 😉

Specced up my new self-hosting/sovereign #Homelab server. It's going to be running proxmox and virtualized truenas via HBA passthrough. I'm going with :-
EPYC 7452 (32 cores / 64 threads )
512 GB of ECC memory.
25 Gbps networking (multiple nics) (using sr-iov for high VM performance)
300TB of HDDs and about 10 TB of SSD
2 GPUs (one for plex and one for AI - both using passthrough)
I will be posting build pics once the hardware arrives but this will function as the brain for my new house and provide all services for the fam.

Hey @Beardy Star Stuff you might want to take a look at Nostr as a social network. Look beyond the fact that the bitcoin community use it right now (as this tends to be a block for some) ... look at the fact you own the ID (pub/private key), it's censorship resistant and it supports bitcoin lightning micro transactions (vs likes) to express value appreciation.
it also goes beyond just social networking to marketplaces, boards, messaging, games and more.
This isn't my blog nor my words, but what do people think of the overarching premise ?
Zaps for good supporting or critical replies ... I'm trying to challenge my own ideas is this space.
