Hey @dennyhenke you might want to take a look at Nostr as a social network. Look beyond the fact that the bitcoin community use it right now (as this tends to be a block for some) ... look at the fact you own the ID (pub/private key), it's censorship resistant and it supports bitcoin lightning micro transactions (vs likes) to express value appreciation. it also goes beyond just social networking to marketplaces, boards, messaging, games and more.

This isn't my blog nor my words, but what do people think of the overarching premise ?

Zaps for good supporting or critical replies ... I'm trying to challenge my own ideas is this space.

I keep getting asked why I'm doing random zaps. My reason is every new thing, be it a system or platform needs an initial injection of energy. People willing to random zap value based on the value others deliver into #nostr is what will start the value2value engine - over time it will become self fulfilling.

One of the best parts about nostr is the lack of real discoverability. I mean this seriously! when i follow someone I generally go through their follow list to 1) find awesome people and 2) learn about the type of people they get value from. There is a real nuance to #nostr which takes time to become obvious.

there really isn't a 1st class client for nostr in the apple ecosystem. How hard is it to have a client which works on iPhone and iPad (sized correctly) and you also allow that to run on M series macos devices. I'm seriously thinking about funding someone full time to create the client I want.
