Having a power outage here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I can't even check the power tracker at fpl.com. If you can, please check zip 33312 and report back if they have any intel. It would suck if the power company had no backup, but, Florida.

Not even 4 months to the election. And I scarcely have time for survival and firearms training. The patriot in me is prepared to fight. The Jew in me wants to stuff a suitcase with cash and flee the country.
It’s hard to believe any SCOTUS decision could be worse than Dobbs, but I absolutely guarantee we will rue this day when people understand just how impossible it will soon be to regulate ANYTHING again. And the coming lawsuits will so inundate the courts, they won’t be able to do anything else for decades.
The best act of trolling, ever, was in 1973, when Marty Cooper, inventor of the cell phone, made his first call from the street, placed to his rival at AT&T, which was working on their own phone tech.

I fully expected the Twitter migration to fizzle out. The narratives were all defined by a tech press looking for “the next Twitter.” All that did was raise consumer expectations that open social wasn’t ready to meet. Now the one thing that might save journalism is being recast as a “hobbyist” project again.
The good news is, everyone has failed to create safe spaces for journalism and news. So it’s still possible to invent some.
Someway, somehow, as a collective, we must figure out how to explain to MAGAs that being able to shout “everything sucks!” does not qualify someone to run a government bureaucracy. It doesn’t build any roads, schools, bridges, or hospitals. At some point, someone has to actually do something.
