This is why I use #Bitcoin. This is why I have devoted my life to teaching whoever will listen (which is a depressingly small number) all about sound money.

Every August 1st, Bitcoiners celebrate the reality that it is the ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ด -- not the miners, or the exchanges, or the extremely wealthy -- who control Bitcoin. 6 years ago today, Bitcoin proved once and for all that it could not be co-opted or corrupted. On this day in 2017, Bitcoiners showed those who thought they had all the power that Bitcoin is not a democracy, but an anarchy, with rules but no rulers, dependent on the choice of the ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ท๐˜ช๐˜ฅ๐˜ถ๐˜ข๐˜ญ to run its protocol, not the collective. From the #Bitcoin group on Telegram: Secp256k1 is the name of the elliptic curve used by Bitcoinย to implement its public key cryptography. All points on this curve are valid Bitcoinย public keys. Here it is visualized: From me: Every public key Is on this line; One is Satoshi's, And one is mine.

It may not be on the mountain height Or over the stormy sea, It may not be at the battleโ€™s front My Lord will have need of me. But if, by a still, small voice he calls To paths that I do not know, Iโ€™ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine: Iโ€™ll go where you want me to go. Perhaps today there are loving words Which Jesus would have me speak; There may be now in the paths of sin Some wandโ€™rer whom I should seek. GM, Nostr fam. In addition to leaving Twitter, I just left MeWe, as well, which is a centralized social media platform built around the ideals of privacy and freedom of speech (similar to Parlor, Gab, and others). Late last year, MeWe's CEO announced that they were partnering with Polkadot, in order to store MeWe's data on their web3 ๐Ÿ’ฉcoin platform. A lot of ๐Ÿ’ฉcoiners also recently started dominating the discussions in the Bitcoin group there. And lately, I've barely been using MeWe anyway, due to being so busy at work, and preferring to use Nostr instead, so I felt like the time was right to leave. I'm supremely grateful that Nostr is here, so I can focus on having the social networking experience that I've always wanted. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿค™
