RIP Tom Smothers. Tom and Dick Smothers are responsible for my earliest memories of standing up for freedom of speech, and questioning authority. I couldn't understand why The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour was cancelled when the content was so good. The realization of mainstream media silencing their viewpoints and critical thinking has never left me. My desire to hear more great jokes and entertainment from the era of my parents childhood planted seeds of thought responsible for my current socioeconomic views. "Crabs walk Sideways"
