Citizens of #Greece, how is #bitcoin adoption over there?
Our kiddos were watching their Sunday School video online this morning, and the actors were modernizing The Nativity Story. One of the wise men couldn't bring gold so they brought Bitcoin instead.
Folks, when Bitcoin is mentioned in Sunday School videos, it can no longer be ignored.
Five generations ago the idea of keeping one's money in a bank was laughable. We have been systematically programmed to believe that the bank is the safest place to keep our money.
Correction: the government's money. If you're with me so far, then you know that the money you think you have in the bank is not actually your money. The government issues it to you, you trade your time for it, and then the government takes it all back in the form of taxation. You are a slave to the government.
If you are still following, there are two solutions: gold and Bitcoin. Gold has advantages to fiat currency but it's biggest downsides are that it can be confiscated by the government and can't easily be transported across borders.
Bitcoin on the other hand can't be confiscated by the government and can easily be transported across borders.
Bitcoin is a superior money to gold, and any fiat currency - hands down.
Unfortunately it will take five generations for the world to figure it out.

What non KYC API friendly options exist for implementing automatic npub whitelisting for paid nostr relays? I see Zebedee but that's KYC.
While I don't waste time on any social media platform, I am finding that my time is best spent on #nostr because I learn stuff here.
I think I'm getting Lightning figured out. Slowly. I have Zeus installed and created an invoice but haven't opened a channel yet because I don't know how to get any of my on chain Bitcoin onto Lightning. Oh and I don't know how to connect my Lightning address into my Nostr profile yet. Baby steps.
GM seems to be the latest trend on #nostr.
When did @Simply Bitcoin stop doing Bitcoin related project updates in the podcast? I just realized I hadn't heard any for like a year.
I appreciate nostr because I'm not a product being monetized.
Who has a tutorial or thoughts on setting up high availability fault tolerant nostr relays?
I struggle with content creation.
I copy other people's code.
I don't have a finance background.
I don't have a hair streak like BTCSessions.
I can't even get nostr verified.
But I desire to give back to the community that has changed my life.
I will keep on thinking. There has to be an opportunity for me somewhere.
Think bigger.
Care bigger.
Find bigger.
See bigger.
Dammit nostr. I'm running my own node, have been posting through Amethyst and Primal, but you still won't let me zap.
But you're still better than X.
If @ODELL ever posts in lower case, call the police.
