Incredible album Joni pulled her music from spotify to protest the "propagation of false and societally harmful assertions" (JRE eps on covid vaccines). Her music distributor is also a publisher that makes editorial decisions. Image a world where she shared and monetized her music on a decentralized permissionless protocol...😉 The concept of active platforming/deplatforming wouldn't exist. Everyone can post whatever they want. Would disagreeing parties directly engage rather than directing anger at the publisher? Could this lead to healthier arguments and more mutual understanding? I think so.
