Securing Private Property and voluntary market exchange, these things are necessary for prosperity in any given society.
Securing these things need a decentralized source of violence production, initially in every citizen being able to carry a weapon. Eventually the market will expand and become more efficient, multiple security firms will emerge. Nobody needs the cops, they need security.
Private security > Public Police force
More accountability, more cost effective, more security coverage. Bet response times and resources would be better in a developed Private Security market.
