Important and timely topic, with so many of our parents entering this season of life. After my Mom’s stroke and seeing her change from her former vibrant self into a chronic pain sufferer with declining mobility, unpredictable behaviour, lack of speech, and declining judgement over the course of 17 years, we are all too familiar with the very real condition of caregiver burnout. Navigating topics of healthcare, mobility, power of attorney, and dealing people preying on her diminished cognitive ability for their own gain while she fiercely held on to her own place. I hope this book assists even one family in making this easier. It will be a gift to many.

The roots of Neo classical metal guitar. I can see why Yngwie Malmsteen cites Vivaldi as a big influence.

Absolutely the most fun I’ve ever had throwing a hatchet/axe. The Estwing double bit axe. Available on Amazon and many hardware stores. Single spin/perfect stick with your lead foot 4m from the target at the moment of release. Start at 5m, step into it 1m with authority with your opposite foot, and throw overhand in a karate chopping motion. Your pointed fingers should remain aiming at your target upon release. Two spins at 8m. Three spins at 12. And if you really want a challenge, try sticking a four-spin at 16m. Good party trick. #throwstr #grownostr

Random thoughts.
It’s a challenge to be both hopeful and thankful. Many days it is easier just to be thankful. Hope seems kind of empty without a plan and the time to execute it. Almost like kidding oneself.
How long can someone go without hoping and dreaming of “more”? More freedom. More sovereignty. More autonomy. #asknostr
