Well, despite record rainfall, 21 days in and I’m not seeing any action on these seed potatoes. Contrasting that with the only 8 days it took the potatoes at home to start popping through the soil, I’d say these chip piles may have had a ph that isn’t going to support direct growth at their current level of compost. I didn’t bother digging around because I was being eaten alive my mosquitoes. Maybe I’ll check back again in a week or two. It was worth a shot, and nothing ventured nothing gained as they say.
