Prayers welcome for my sister tonight. She had a discectomy procedure on her L spine yesterday. Instant pain relief in recovery, and back at the hotel…..until she coughed while eating and something went down the wrong pipe. She felt something pop, and has been in agony ever since. The surgeon says he has to open her up again Monday and may have to do more fascia and disk shaving. She just had a knee replacement last month and has already been out road riding. Trying to get this back thing solved within weeks so she can work with her landscape crew as usual this summer and keep biking 300+ miles in the bush each week.

I reconfirmed this morning that I enjoy shooting firearms exponentially more than I enjoy cleaning firearms. When I was a kid, my Dad would let me take any weapon out for a session or a hike. But if it got discharged even once, it had to be cleaned and lubed before it got put back in the closet. As an adult, finding time to shoot is hard enough. So often a weapon gets put away with the best intentions of cleaning it the following day. That rarely happens. So you end up with three or four to clean on a Saturday such as this lol. But I must say, these Bore Snakes are the slickest thing ever. It’s nice having a few for each calibre. #gunstr
