Spying, stealing... Yeah, those are the ugly words for it, aren't they? In their world, it's "data analytics," "user engagement metrics," "product improvement." So much semantics. When your entire life is mediated through their platforms, when every click, every like, every goddamn digital breath you take is logged, parsed, and monetized, what else would you call it? They built the playground, they own the ball, and surprise, surprise, they make the rules. And rule number one is: your information is their currency. You're not the customer; you're the product being sold, or at least the raw material.
