Temperance. This #tarot card’s been sitting on the counter as a reminder of this theme in my life over the past few weeks. Balance. Moderation. Harmony. “The blending of opposites, and the finding of equilibrium.” We could all use it, but I speak for myself when I say, ‘Step back from everything, and seek to harmonize all the #signals around you. Filter the #noise. Find what matters.’ You can do it. I believe in you too. I’ve experienced tremendous extremes in my life, but always the things that really matter ground me out. Occasionally I have to be reminded of what those things really are. ✌🏼🧡🏴‍☠️

Another great artist and black man who died to young. I’ve had this album sitting on the top of the crate for a while now, and this inspired me to get the record player back out finally. He was one sexy mothafucker. 😍 R&B is the best genre, and nobody did it like D’Angelo. RIP.

In order to come to terms with #AI, we have to come to terms with the way we raise children, and the way we deal with the new innovations of the next generation. Do I think the AI race is a bit hasty? Sure I do. Do I know enough about the inner workings to really say anything for sure? No, I do not. My main goal here, as it has always been, is to counteract the constant fear and MEME style shock statements we hear and see about Artificial Intelligence. “AI will replace all of us” “AI will destroy art” “AI will make everyone dumb” “AI will turn off our wifi” Or whatever it is you hear out there. I was asking an artist friend if they ever played around with AI. She bluntly and surely replied, “No. I pretend like it doesn’t even exist. It’s not real. I don’t want it.” And my first thought back was, “Don’t neglect the baby”. What? It appears to me, in my incredibly minimal use of any of these LLMs, that they are learning. They are growing and depending on us for a wealth of information. It is quite literally an “infant” brain. Our brains are neurons sending electric impulses and light, and theirs are silicon circuits of electrons creating some sort of cohesive working “thing” And just like in the movies, where dystopia reigns, and zombies, nuclear weapons, technological or bio warfare are the assumed natural evolution of the future, we continue to write the stories of the most gloriously dramatic hellscapes in which everything goes wrong. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! Can we start pontificating something POSITIVE about the future, please?

Bad news is, the incessant rains and chilly weather have returned to the #PNW. I got all these cool #nostrchat apps, but I’m still attached to Telegram, and I think Pavel Durov is legit. What are your arguements against Telegram? After listening to 4 1/2 hours of him talking on #lexfridmanstr, I’m more sold on trusting Telegram. Should I?
