#nostrbama was 🔥, nostr has more creativity, enthusiasm and talent per square inch than any other platform and it was well and truly on display this week in lil old Mobile, Alabama
GM Nostr! It's time to create issues and send patchs!
We've made some pretty solid progress this last month building out the Flotilla-Budabit Git Integration - now with support for browsing files, submitting issues and viewing patches. You can see how far we've come in the video below:

More to come!
As part of the work I've been doing to build the git-centric community platform Flotilla-Budabit with @npub16p8v...fhdw I've hacked together a browser extension that let's you easily publish Git repository announcements, NIP-C0 code snippets and the proposed NIP-34 permalink events directly from the GitHub web page:

I'll be adding more features and doing a proper release in the coming days, but for the intrepid who can't wait, you can download and build the extension here:
The Flatpak installation of Obsidian takes up 627.1 MB but the Gimp only needs 257.5 MB? The V8 Javascript Engine and its consequences have been a disaster for humanity...
The bird app is pure slop now, but it's still hard for me to recommend nostr to many of my frens there because it still lacks a few things:
- decent private Group Chat
- libtards to mock in those private Group Chats
- fag friendly onboarding (based gay guys aren't very tech savvy)
The first is easily solved, the second is more a feature than a bug and the third is a question of onboarding.
It's my 2025 resolution to bring my frens along, but with these guys you only get one shot at it, so I need to make it count!
