Nostr Huntrs & Anglers is a place to share the stories, photos, and everyday lifestyle of hunters and anglers who cherish public lands. We celebrate the traditions of the outdoors—passed down through families—and connect a community rooted in freedom, stewardship, and wild places.
My brother just convert an enclosed trailer into a hunting rig with solar, lithium batteries, chest freezer, etc. Needs a couple bitaxe for heat and a HAM set up and we’re golden. image
Elk burgers cooked in ghee. First bitcoin food purchase on Nostr. Can confirm it tastes great and has a high smoke point. Thanks @Great Ghee ! image
Trophy Whitetail hunts in the Adirondacks. This outfit accepts Bitcoin. How neat is that?
A friend hiked Cloud Peak in WY this week when a storm was rolling in. This lighting is incredible. "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse." — Romans 1:20 (NIV) #photostr image
High country velvet muley. Grab a camera and go scout late summer. #photostr
Don’t wait for the fall. Pick up a bear tag and go hunt late April-May. Good time to scout as well. Check out Hells Canyon. image
Fish the Yellowstone River through Paradise Valley. In late April, you can avoid the crowds and/or get a guide for big discounts prior to May(rates pick up). Fishing rate cut>Fed rate cut
Someone needs to tie flies on here and put them up for #zapsnag. Bonus zaps if you can tell me the specific waters and time of year to use it. image
Elk and deer openers are starting next week/weekend. Don’t forget to grab a mountain lion tag. You never know if you’ll glass one up. Found this one stalking a Muley. Fun fact: Mountain lions have a white meat that tastes just like pork. Like bear, cook to 165 to avoid trichinosis. image
“The great purpose is to set aside a reasonable part of the vanishing wilderness, to make certain that generations of Americans yet unborn will know what it is to experience life on undeveloped, unoccupied land in the same form and character as the Creator fashioned it... It is a great spiritual experience. I never knew a man who took a bedroll into an Idaho mountainside and slept there under a star-studded summer sky who felt self-important that next morning. Unless we preserve some opportunity for future generations to have the same experience, we shall have dishonored our trust.” -U.S. Senator Frank Church (^Would’ve been a Bitcoiner) image
