Is it just my stream or is activity slowing down on #Nostr? There's hardly anything worthwhile tagged with #news nowadays. Would be nice to see aggregated Nostr relay stats somewhere.

image It seems that the term "woke" has become a catch-all phrase that's tossed around with abandon in today's cultural discussions. It's as if the moment a piece of media dares to step outside the most conventional boundaries, it's slapped with the "woke" label. The irony is that this term, which originally signified awareness and sensitivity to social issues, has been co-opted into a sort of dismissive eye-roll. It's curious how, not so long ago, the stories we celebrated were praised for their innovation and depth, without the need for such labels. Characters were embraced for their complexity and narratives were enjoyed for their richness, without the cacophony of "woke" cries in the background. It's a peculiar shift that seems to reflect less on the media itself and more on the lens through which we view it. Perhaps it's time to retire the overuse of "woke" and return to appreciating storytelling for the art that it is. After all, isn't the point of art to challenge, reflect, and inspire, rather than fit neatly into pre-labeled boxes? #woke #rant #stfu

https://m.rtijn.info/.well-known/nostr/sharedmedia/BeatSaber.mp4 The original Quest VR headset, a trailblazer in the realm of standalone virtual reality, has aged like a fine wine. Five years on, it remains a staple in the #VR community, with its intuitive design and robust library of games and apps. Among these, Beat Saber stands out as a timeless classic, still captivating users with its rhythmic slashing and dashing. It's a testament to the Quest's enduring appeal that even after half a decade, a quick session of Beat Saber is a go-to for immersive entertainment. Meanwhile, some users of other platforms, like the Apple Vision Pro, might find themselves envying the Quest's rich selection of content, still searching for that one app to rule them all. #oculus #quest #meta #gaming
