Merchants should be required to pass on credit card fees. It's ridiculous that we have cards giving 3% cashback, charging merchants 4%. There's cases where these fees even result in merchants losing money on every sale.
The whole thing is a scam only made possible by the duopoly position credit card companies are in.

Russians sneaking into Pokrovsk, Ukraine, under cover of fog.
Due to enormous numbers of Ukrainian drones, and their depleted reserves of actual military vehicles, they're riding to battle on the same crap you'd expect from Jihadis in the middle east.

...and guess which way public servants lean? Hard left.
The real goal of this is most likely to ensure that the Canadian military can put down an internal civil war if needed.
Everyone is Craig Wright. Except Satoshi Nakamoto.
That was a legitimately useful ad.

Some friends of mine have bought a used Ford 4x4 for Wild Division, of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of Ukraine. I visited them earlier this summer:
They already have the vehicle, and a volunteer driver. We're just trying to get another ~500€ to pay for the ferry and gas to Eastern Ukraine.
So I thought it'd be fun to raise the funds with Arkade's new Ark wallet, arkade.money
All you need to do is send funds to the Ark address I've setup:
ark1qq4hfssprtcgnjzf8qlw2f78yvjau5kldfugg29k34y7j96q2w4t5pnjjnnvr9f46x3j6v2dmx64lqgqy87rf8y37z759esvv2rexj6crhdp5d
You can fund your Ark wallet with either lightning or on-chain funds. I'm in control of that wallet, and I'll forward the funds to the people who need it.
Civilian 4x4's are used by all the front line units. Unfortunately, due to funding constraints, there's nowhere near enough proper armored vehicles. So most of the smaller vehicles used for transportation tasks are unarmored civilian vehicles, painted with camo. It's frankly totally nuts that full scale warfare is being done this way... But Ukrainians have to make do.
I've done a bunch of economic transactions with Ark myself, and haven't managed to lose any money yet. It's an interesting alternative to Lightning; most of my L2 paper last year was about Ark: petertodd.org/2024/covenant-…
This will probably be the first fundraiser anyone has ever done with Ark! If we get more than needed for this task, I'll find more uses for it – they certainly can use more vehicles for example.

One of the best videos I've seen on YouTube for what caving is _actually_ like. A long, drawn out, feat of waiting and endurance.
Anyone got a timestamp on this? 😂😂😂

Something nostr is still missing is getting damn good quote tweets from people you didn't know before:

I’ve always said I’m the world‘s worst humanitarian because I believe the most humanitarian thing we can do is kill more bad guys.
You preve...
Russian state media: if Ukraine doesn't surrender we will murder everyone in Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, etc.
They're just psychopaths who want to murder Ukrainians and steal their land and resources. Killing them first is the only good solution.
Just the other day Russians published video from one of their drones showing how they're using multiple-rocket-launchers to hit civilian buildings at random in Kherson:
From the Ukrainian side:
Yet another example is how Russians recently published video of them murdering a elderly Ukrainian and her goats:
They're openly bragging about how evil they are.
I remember the last time Wladimir replied to me here, complaining about my tone towards Russians. Typical leftist psychopathic bullshit, caring more about the rights of murderous psychopaths than the people they're killing.
Fortunately Ukrainians have been busy destroying the Russian economy instead. They've ever started cutting off Moscow from the electricity grid. Let's hope they succeed. Dead Russians don't pay taxes.

Dublin: Teenager charged with murder of Vadym Davydenko
Vadym Davydenko died on Wednesday after being stabbed during an altercation at an emergency accommodation centre.
I convinced another Ukrainian military division to accept Bitcoin donations, the Wild Division, of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.
I visited them at their training camp this summer. They urgently need $1445 to replace a broken drone signal repeater.

You might ask, why am I dressed in green, like a soldier?
Because that training camp is ~50km from the front line. Russia knows where it is, and periodically sends drones to observe it. Since Russia actively targets journalists, we were better off blending in rather than following the usual rules of identifying ourselves clearly as press.
