Video of a failed assassination attempt on Serhiy Sternenko, a Ukrainian who founded a notable charity organization that, among other things, supplies drones to the military: The assassin: image Apparently Russia is running out of hot female spies. So much for the movies... 😂 Like most Ukrainian charities, they accept Bitcoin: Looks like their ₿ address just got another 60k sats. Interestingly, their Paypal donation link can only be used for non-lethal aid. Bitcoin fixes that!

Relevant video to current events: Chris Boden is awesome. Sadly he spent some time in jail for buying and selling Bitcoin awhile back. But he's since been rebuilding his life and making awesome tech videos.

image Carry cash you idiots. (Context: there's a massive blackout in Spain and Portugal that has taken down card networks, among many other things)

Ukrainians (most likely) assassinated a Russian Major General at his home near Moscow yesterday, yet another in a long list of assassinations of Russians (e.g. the EW warfare expert, Yevgeny Rytikov, killed with a car bomb earlier this week). image One interesting detail: the assassination seems to have been done with an IED made of grenades planted in car they parked on the street outside his apartment, probably triggered remotely with a webcam. Not all of the grenades exploded at once, which meant that after the first explosion, additional secondaries kept on happening. Now think about it: suppose the general had only been wounded, not killed. A stream of secondary explosions would discourage anyone from getting close enough to help, maximizing the chances they he does in fact die. Smart. Russia does follow-up "double-tap" air strikes all the time on Ukrainian civilians to try to kill rescue crews. Using a similar tactic on Russia for assassinations is more than fair.

😂😂😂 Google's AI Overview completely hallucinated the existence of "unsafe" for the Zig language. Grok 3 correctly says that Zig doesn't have unsafe blocks. image

Accidentally orange-pilled a sticker vendor in Mexico. I only had 500 peso notes, and he didn't have change. So I had him install Wallet of Satoshi and sent him 100 pesos (~$5 USD) via Lightning. He was actually pretty clueful. He seemed to understand that this was like digital gold. He also seemed to understand me when I explained how Bitcoin was a protocol – kinda like email – and that's why I was able to use different software to send him Bitcoin than Wallet of Satoshi. And he seemed to understand that since the amount was so small, Wallet of Satoshi was the one who actually had his Bitcoin, not him. Second time I found someone who was willing to accept ₿, but normally didn't. First time was a t-shirt vendor who knew all about Bitcoin, but didn't himself have a wallet, and just got his friend to accept it for him. Bitcoin is getting to the point where so many people know about it that you don't have to convince people its valuable. They already basically know what it is even if they've never personally used it.

I was on a panel recently in DC with one of the sponsors of this bill, State Representative Warren Davidson. He's awesome. I didn't need to push the ideals of freedom. He did it for me. Ensuring that you can always pay cash is essential for financial freedoms; this bill is a very good start.

image Trump is hopelessly weak here. But one thing in particular is how he keeps on both-siding losses. Most Russian soldiers are dying from drones, like these men. Look at their faces: They're not young boys forced into war. They're older men who knowingly signed up to help slaughter Ukrainians for money. A lot of money. Enough of them survive to make it worth it. It's a good thing when these psychopaths are kille and injured. And Putin and Russian society in general don't give a fuck about their deaths. Trump appealing to humanity just goes to show he has absolutely no control over the situation.

Best video so far of the Russian ammo depot that Ukraine blew up today, 65km _north-east_ of Moscow. Not even the main explosion. Just a secondary. A 5km radius was evacuated, and Russians in the area complained of impacts from debris thrown by the explosions. NASA's fire monitoring satellite system shows an enormous fire: image Fact is, if Ukraine can successfully, repeatedly, hit ammo depots right by Moscow they can destroy the Russian “civilian” economy and end the slaughter of Ukrainians. The only obstacles are funding, and the scumbags who keep complaining about the safety of Russian “civilians”. There is zero reason why Moscow's four airports should still be operating. At the very least, blow up the fuel tanks and destroy the ATC towers and radars. Shutting down convenient travel to Moscow would be a big hit to their economy.
