This is the sort of drone that Ukraine is successfully using to attack Russian targets, in this case a fiber optic plant in Saransk, about 1000km from the border. Basically a cheap Cessna-like small plane, built in Ukraine, fitted with a droppable bomb. This particular plane already dropped its bomb elsewhere, and was using the airframe itself to crash into the electrical switchgear outside the facility to destroy it. (Ukraine has actually developed automated bomb dropping software for its drones) Russian anti-aircraft defense is in a sorry state... Ukraine could absolutely win this war by destroying more economic targets in Russia like this and crashing their economy. The main issue is the psychopathic "anti-war" "peaceniks" who care more about Russian "civilians" than Ukrainians.

One of the _very_ few places that actually enforce evacuation for air raids in Ukraine is some of the big malls (at least in safer cities like Kyiv and Odesa). It's quite funny though being in one of the restaurants: the waiters quickly run around getting everyone to pay their bills first, and box up any remaining food and drinks to take away. Takes a good fifteen minutes to get everyone out. 😂 Of course, this has been a pretty much every day or two event for multiple years now. I'm curious: how do they handle this in Israel? All the videos I've seen indicate they take the sirens much more seriously. Also, if you're in Kyiv, I'm speaking at the bitdevs meetup about my recent work on scaling OpenTimestamps next Tuesday. Gonna make it a fairly technical presentation – the audience in Kyiv is pretty good.

😂😂😂 The World Intellectual Property Organization launched a time-stamping service in 2020. They already shut it down on Jan 2022, and being a trusted service, actually being able to validate the timestamps in the future is certainly not guaranteed. Meanwhile OpenTimestamps has been around since 2016, and it'll take a total SHA256 hash function break to prevent you from validating upgraded OTS proofs.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2025/03/27/the-triple-tap-raid-on-the-engels-bomber-base-cost-russia-96-billion/ $960 million worth of equipment destroyed, so 0.7% if Russia's entire (official) military budget lost in a single set of attacks. In fairness, getting to the point where Ukraine could repeatedly hit of Russia's biggest and more important airbases certainly took a lot of preparation destroying anti-air systems between Ukraine and that airbase. But still, impressive.

“100% electric stairs for a green future” Yeah... that jet engine in the background probably puts out more CO2 in a minute than gasoline powered air stairs use in a year. image

image Free covid testing center at Washington Dulles airport, in 2025, paid for by the US government. DOGE recently cut funding for research that was finding the estimated 35,000 children that Russia has abducted. This would have been a much more useful thing to cut... Also, high chance that Trump wanted that research cut specifically to make it easier to sell "peace" with Russia. It's easier to sell "peace" with people who aren't insane psychopaths that abduct children by the tens of thousands to further the aim of genocide. There's probably something like 100,000+ Russians directly involved in that crime who should all be executed.
