one thing that’s kinda obvious/annoying to me about nostr is there’s no way you know what youve missed because of a relay mis-sync

starting to scale the bitcoin LARP means other people taking responsibility for things that i might have been responsible for in the past and it’s reminding me of the one time that i was head of a big project at Etsy Android. we were on a tight schedule for a company wide launch. i ended up recruiting other teammates to help out with pieces i didn’t have time for. it was a lot of work but everyone had a lot of fun and we made it to the deadline! everyone was really excited, we impressed a lot of other engineers from different teams that worked with us. im still extremely proud of the work we did.
the only person who was unhappy was my manager who’s only feedback to me was that i shouldn’t have delegated work, he was disappointed i hadn’t handled the whole thing by myself.
some people are never going to be happy about the work you accomplish or how you do it. bringing in new people to do work they’re excited to contribute should never be frowned upon. the world is full of people who want to pitch in, and the people creating space for others to fill is as important work as the work itself imo! redundancy in systems is really important, and bringing in people that feel empowered to improve or contribute to a task is the best thing you can do for a project.
here’s to growing more opportunities in bitcoin for everyone 🧡
