Currently, I am reading "The Mandibles: A Family, 2029-2047" by Lionel Shriver (I think, the original book title is so much better than the title of the German version: "Eine amerikanische Familie") Anyway, the book was recommended by @ODELL I suppose, because of the stories similarities with kind of a worst case #Bitcoin scenario. The story is based on the idea of a crash, on the international currency exchange, and the “almighty dollar” plummets in value, to be replaced by a new global currency, the “bancor.” Someone else reading the book? What are your thoughts about it?

Die im Podcast diskutierte Kluft zwischen Bitcoiner vs Nocoiner, lässt sich meiner Meinung oft schlichtweg mit der Ignoranz bzw dem Unverständnis von Privilegierten, gegenüber den Bedürfnissen anderer Menschen erklären. Beispiel: --› Finanziell Privilegiert vs Menschen ohne Zugang zu Bankdienstleistungen, geringe Inflation; --> Energiewende von privelegierten durch Subventionen von E-Autos und Wärmepumpe vs Mensch ohne Zugang zu (halbwegs) stabilen Stromnetz, ohne Mobilität oder sauberes Wasser; --> Betongold Kapitalanleger vs Menschen die unter der Wohraumknappheit leiden Bitcoin löst viele Probleme die Privilegierte weniger spüren und deshalb auch keinen Handlungsbedarf fordern. Offensichtlich ist die Zielgruppe der re : bublica Berlin eben genau diese und deshalb scheint Bitcoin dort weniger relevant zu sein. Vielleicht sollten wir Bitcoiner unsere Energie auf Projekte mit Menschen konzentrieren, die darauf wirklich angewiesen sind.
