#grownostr #permies It's a little late for the actual set of holidays, but this is a cool #homeschooling project to do as a #family and a way to learn about #japan culture. Planning to do some with my son next week - what I bought below.

#grownostr Fresh chard from my small hydroponic system. I have tried to grow lettuce, spinach, and arugula too. So far Chard ALWAYS comes through while everything else dies. I'm fighting algae breakout with GSE but everything else dies the chard is hardcore. This is the first leaf food my son ate.

One year ago today my father left this earth. He had a few heart problems periodically over the last two decades, but had many bypasses, outlived all his siblings and friends, and was very active and independent. For some reason that is a complete mystery, he decided to get the clot shots late 2021-two doses.. coincidentally (or not) his health took a sharp nose dive and less than 9 months later he was gone. I recognize I have biases, and I have no proof, but I believe the shots were the last straw for his heart. I told him that he never even got covid, and it was the dumbest thing to do. I believe he would be with us today if he hadn't decided to get them. He was a good man and taught me too many things to list. I just hope I'm honoring him and making him proud every day. Hug your dads everyone and tell them you love them!
