Claude is just awful. The fact that there are payment issues with their service from Russia is one thing —everyone has that problem right now, and it's not really Claude's fault (though they could at least accept Monero or BTC by now). But even just registering an account is difficult, and now even existing users are being asked to verify their number via SMS. Fine, you pay, you confirm via SMS. Can you use it then? No. You can’t through a VPN. If you connect through a server they don’t recognize — your account gets blocked for "suspicious activity".
My Gemini subscription is ending soon, and I don't even know what to do next. I won't be able to pay for Gemini anymore (Google is probably the strictest about this, and even though prepaid cards exist, they just block them if you use a VPN). And ChatGPT, while it does generate lots of "good" code, it’s good in the bad sense — something nobody actually asked for.

I'm a really bad coder, and at some point in a project's growth, I just stop understanding what's going on. Comments and documentation don't help, and vibecoding only makes it worse.
Thank God, things like Go appeared, seemingly made specifically for dumb people like me.

During a Ukrainian bombing at night (sounds rather poetic), I was writing a new plugin for strfry, because I stopped understanding the code of the old one (yeah, that was my own code too 🤣). The plugin is written, I’ll run more tests, and in the future wss://adre.su will work with it.

It’s no longer embarrassing to show my strchat-tui to people. This isn’t a Bitchat client — I’m planning to support other #nostr chats based on different NIPs, plus I want to add support for voice messages.
I want to create a Nostr client that works like a chat. So, not "notes and other stuff," but "chats and other stuff" 😅. Right now, it looks like a bad clone of bitchat-tui 
and only supports chats of kinds 20000/23333. I haven't decided yet if I'll make it with a GUI; currently, it's being written for the terminal. I'm not sure I'll be able to properly get the hang of GUI libraries in Go 🤭.
