Hi visitors!! A huge and spectacular hummingbird. The males are bright emerald with blue wings. The females are greenish at the top with the cinnamon-colored lower parts. The peak is of medium length and slightly curved upwards. Larger than almost all other hummingbirds and with slower flats compared to those of other hummingbirds. It occurs in mountain forests and edges in the Andes from northern Colombia to Bolivia, typically from around 2,800 m to near the tree line. Visit feeders. I saw it in my house in Quito at 3.000 m ❤️♥️
