What I really had in mind was something larger and suitable for keeping a sourdough starter in, but this was a good start! It’s a great size for a trinket box. Maybe stash your collection of foraged persimmon seeds you’ll plant eventually (maybe that’s just me who does that…) I love how the speckled clay recalls the speckled appearance American persimmons can sometimes have, and lends a lot of character to the metallic copper interior glaze. The copper glaze also color matches really well with the iron-washed parts of the piece. I hope to eventually make more similar to this in different sizes.
