Thank you to those that sent sats yesterday and today! Didn't see the notifications from yesterday. I'm not on TestFlight so I can't see who sent them until the regular AppStore update gets released. So thank you! image

I miss Steve. Not in the way someone complains they wish Steve were still alive and heading Apple. We all move on. Steve himself said, "...death is very likely the single best invention of life." No, I miss Steve because of his drive, passion, and even mistakes. His products manifested that drive. I remember holding a 1st Generation iPhone and realizing that the world had changed. Such a beautiful intersection of technology and artistic design with amazing potential. Nostr has that same spirit. So, "Here’s to the Crazy Ones" Memento mori can remind us that death is ever near, but today I want to remember life and make something of it. Happy Birthday, Steve. image

Just curious, what does the Broadcast option do? Long press on a note on #[0] app and there's an option to broadcast. Broadcast the note to other relays you’re connected to, but the original note was not? image

Using keys to sign posts is brilliant. You can be in any country and "sign up" to use Nostr. It's hard to let go of the old nomenclature. You don't sign up for Nostr, you just use a private/public key pair. With that said, if you believe your device is compromised, and want to change key pairs, but still keep the same “account,” that's not possible now as I understand it. Would love to see some sort of key management abilities in the future. image

Today, I go out into the world, and will build, create, and leave it a better place for having been there. Oh, and also purple makes me happy. #nostr image

In ye days of yore, most people got their email accounts from their local Internet Service Provider. A lot of those small businesses are gone, and the email addresses with them. Then larger companies came like AOL and Comcast providing email addresses, and you don't see those addresses too much anymore. The "free" email providers more commonly used today are problematic for so many shady practices, but if you don't like their practices, it's a pain to move away, it's like moving to a new city. That's why the public/private key model is so brilliant in nostr. You're not tied to a company, app, or provider. You can move from client to client at will. No account creation needed. It's brilliant. Here's an “free” email service provider that started out cool, but then... image
