One thing I like to do as a #bitcoin lightning node operator, is to watch all the sats being routed by my node and the few bits of stats I collect as a reward to help the transactions being routed to their destinations. This don't pay the VPS bill but I feel like I contributed to something bigger and I am proud of it. If you want to open a channel with my node, you are more than welcomed:

Well, I found out yesterday that a 2800$ from HP Canada was charged on my credit card. I always use paypass and my wallet has RFID shielding. I have no idea where it was picked up, maybe online. Anyways, I called the CC company and they removed the charge, cancelled my card and sent me a new card by snail mail... #bitcoin and lightning would have prevented this fraud...

I have just tested #[0] app and I am very impressed! I run a lightning Node and connecting direct to it using Lightning Terminal QR code was easy. Zeus is now my main zapping tool on Nostr!

Governments all over the world are fuelled by money that they can print for free through the issuance of debt, along with the centralised technological powers that they possess. The debt they create are bonds and treasuries and gilts, etc. They merely raise their credit card boundaries by having the bank buy their debt. Where do these institutions get the funds to buy these debts, then? primarily from deposits made by individuals like you and me at our institutions. In other words, if fewer bank deposits were kept by banks, fewer funds would be available to purchase government debt, which would reduce the amount of power that governments could exercise.
